EXCLUSIVE: WWE SmackDown Plans “In Flux” Following Brock Lesnar Walkout, Goldberg Replacing Him At SummerSlam?
WWE’s plans for Friday Night Smackdown tonight are still in flux after Brock Lesnar left ahead of the taping in Boston. This is what a source close to Cultaholic Wrestling revealed.
Lesnar was scheduled to appear on tonight’s SmackDown before his Last Man Standing Match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. After Vince McMahon announced that he would retire from WWE, The Beast Incarnate left the taping. reports that Brock said in some form, “If he is gone, I’m gone.”
It remains to be determined if Lesnar will ever return, but a source close to Cultaholic Wrestling stated that WWE would make last-minute offers to bring Goldberg in to replace Brock at SummerSlam.
The WWE Hall of Famer recently revealed that he is still under contract with WWE, and he is waiting for the call to schedule another match in the squared circle.
